We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from the MMY US plant floor.  The place where our vision of smart, sustainable, community-rooted modular homes comes to life.

In just 18 months, we’ve grown from a small operation into a vibrant local employer and prefab leader, with dozens of homes built, new partnerships forged, and a factory that’s humming with potential.

None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our community, local government, nonprofit partners and the hardworking team behind it all. Thank you.

On February 29, 2024, Mayor Craig Greenberg joined Governor Andy Beshear, Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins, and MMY US leadership at our newly developed factory in the Parkland neighborhood to officially announce the opening of our first U.S. modular housing manufacturing facility — bringing 73 new jobs to West Louisville.

“From delivering new housing solutions to creating good-paying jobs with benefits like childcare, MMY is making a game-changing investment in West Louisville that will position our city to lead,” said Mayor Greenberg.

“West Louisville will now be the national epicenter of modular housing construction, and I am so grateful to MMY leaders for their commitment to Louisville, our people, and our future.”

Governor Beshear added:

“Congratulations to MMY US and to the West Louisville community for adding yet another quality employer for Kentucky’s talented workforce. The commonwealth continues to attract companies that are creating great jobs and providing valuable resources for our residents — and MMY US is a prime example of that.”

From Empty Warehouse to Industry Leader — In Just 18 Months

In just 18 months, MMY US has transformed a 180,000 sq ft facility in West Louisville into a state-of-the-art modular manufacturing plant. Since our ribbon-cutting in February 2024 — supported by the Louisville Economic Development Alliance, Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development & the City of Louisville — we’ve completed over 100 cold-formed steel modular boxes. These include units for the Sellersburg Family Scholar House, Rebound housing on Dr. W.J. Hodge Street, and LEED Platinum-certified homes for Louisville Metro Government (in association with Family Inc), with the first set to be unveiled on August 5, 2025 at the ribbon cutting.

The plant has now grown into a full-scale operation with a diverse team of 70+ employees locally and 15 employees globally currently at a production rate of one modular unit per day ( 2 a day has already been proven). Alongside building homes, we’re building community — through job fairs, local hiring, and open houses. From design to delivery, we’re creating high-quality, affordable housing manufactured in the USA — and we’re just getting started.
